No e-evaluation of Plus Two Arts papers in Odisha this year

Contrary to the announcement made by Higher Education minister Pradeep Panigrahi recently, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has decided that there would be no e-evaluation of Arts papers in the annual Plus Two examinations this year since the necessary infrastructure is still not in place.

Panigrahi had announced that all Plus Two answer sheets would be e-evaluated this year. Last time, there was e-evaluation of answer sheets in five science subjects.

At a recent meeting, CHSE decided that all answer sheets in the Science and Commerce streams would be e-evaluated this time, but the mechanism is not yet ready for the e-evaluation of Arts papers.

The meeting also decided that filling up of forms an issue of admit cards for all Plus Two examinations this year will be online. For the first time, ex-regular students will also be able to fill up forms online from October 1 to 31. Regular students will fill up forms from November 16 to 23 without fine and from November 26 to 28 with a fine of Rs 50. and from December 1 to 2 with a fine of Rs 350.

Arts, commerce and science students will be able to fill up forms by logging on to www.dheodisha.gov.in and www.chseodisha.nic.in websites. Filling up of forms for vocational courses, however, will be done offline. The admit cards can be downloaded from the CHSE websites by the colleges.

Plus Two exams will be held in the first week of March, 2016. All colleges have been instructed to cover syllabus before filling up of forms. No classes will be taken after form fill up; in case part of the syllabus remains uncovered, teachers have to complete the course latest by December 2015.
