No home quarantine option for returnees in Odisha’s Berhampur

Berhampur: Following sharp increase in COVID-19 cases in Odisha’s Ganjam district, the Berhampur Municipal Corporation today cancelled home quarantine option for those returning from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Kerala to the town.

“All people returning from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Kerala will be kept in institutional quarantine mandatorily. Home quarantine option will not be made available,” an official order of the Berhampur Municipal Corporation said.

Ganjam district has so far reported 21 COVID-19 cases while all of them are Surat returnees. As many as 17 out of the 21 cases were registered yesterday.
