No new COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha in past three days

Bhubaneswar: In a time the international institutions are intensifying their collective efforts on battling COVID-19 pandemic, Odisha has not reported any fresh positive case in the past three days.

According to a data released by the Health & Family Welfare Department on Saturday, the total number of positive cases in Odisha stands at 60.

As on April 17, 3082 samples were tested in past three days. While a total of 1197 samples was tested on Wednesday, 843 tested on Thursday and 1042 tested on Friday. However, the results of all the tests were negative.

So far, Odisha has tested 8619 samples and 8559 samples came negative with 60 positive cases till April 17.

Out of the total positive cases, 21 patients have recovered while one died of the disease. The active cases remain at 38 in the state.

Meanwhile, the state government has decided to start random testing at community level in all districts.
