No paediatric Covid patient on ventilator support in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today said no critical paediatric patient suffering from Covid-19 has been occupying the bed with ventilator support in the State.

As per the data provided by the Health and Family Welfare Department, out of 179 beds with ventilator support for paediatric patient, the occupancy has been nil till September 5, 2021.

As many as two babies have been in ICU out of 674 ICU/HDU beds available for the pediatric age groups in the State. The occupancy is at 0.3%, the data showed.

Of the total 1,585 general bed, only 13 babies have been occupying the beds till September 5. The occupancy rate is at 0.82%, the data mentioned.
