Here is complete conversation with the 17-year-old Nipun, a student of Aakash Institute, who clinched success in two toughest medical entrance examinations.

Q. Had you ever expected to be among top five in AIIMS MBBS entrance exam?

Ans. Yes. After securing first rank in JIPMER MBBS entrance examination, I had expected success in AIIMS MBBS. I would like to give all the credit to Aakash Institute’s teachers to be placed among top 10. It could not have been possible without my parents’ blessings.

Q. Will you prefer AIIMS to get admission if you secure better rank in NEET examination?

Ans. No, I will not study in any other medical college even if I top in the NEET examination. Mentally, I am prepared to get enrolled at AIIMS, New Delhi.

Q. How was your preparation for the entrance examinations?

Ans. I was doing hard work for 8-10 hours a day during exam. Neither was I using TV and mobile nor will I use those in upcoming days. As I was doing well in Biology, I set my goal to pursue career in medical field. I was going through the chapters again and again in which I found difficulties.

Q. What is the reason for remaining away from social media?

Ans. If you want to focus on your studies, you have to stay away from social media. I have never opened account on Facebook till date, nor will I ever do it. There is no TV set at home in past five years. As the concentration cannot be made on the studies in presence of mobile and TV, I used to avoid those.

Q. Do you think coaching necessary for entrance examinations?

Ans. Oh yes, there is much more need of coaching for the entrance examinations for which I was preparing myself after clearing Class X examination. I started preparation from now to get admission into MBBS course at AIIMS in New Delhi.
