Notorious criminal injured in Odisha police encounter

Cuttack: Notorious criminal Sk Rahul was injured in police encounter in Odisha’s Cuttack this evening.

Rahul is a close associate of Mohammad Shakeel who is the prime accused in Meria Bazar bombing case.

Acting on a tip off, Puri Ghat police conducted a surprise raid at a place in Bidanasi area followed by police encounter.

Rahul sustained bullet injuries on his right leg and was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital. A country made pistol and two bullets were seized from his possession.

Several criminal cases are pending at various police stations here.
