Odisha +2 exams: e-evaluation only in five Science papers this year

The Higher Education department has decided to exclude English, MIL and other optional subjects in the Science stream from e-evaluation in this year’s annual Plus Two examinations in Odisha.

college examsTalking to the media, Prof Basudeb Chhatoi, chairman of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), said e evaluation would be restricted to just five subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Zoology – this year.

There would be no e-evaluation of English, MIL and other optional papers in the Science stream, he clarified. .

He said the proposal to this effect would be discussed at the Examination Committee meeting in 2-3 days after which the mode of e-evaluation would be decided.

The CHSE chairman said to ensure error-free e-evaluation, assistant examiners and chief examiners would be imparted a two-day training scheduled at 30 nodal centres in the state on February 19 and 20.

Though it is still not known which agency would be assigned with the e-evaluation work and where the scanning and e-evaluation of papers would be done, the Higher Education department has decided that there would be an experimental e-evaluation of Science papers this year while there would be total e-evaluation of papers of all streams from next year.
