Odisha: 69 students to get gold medals at Ravenshaw University convocation on May 26

Bhubaneswar: Ravenshaw University in Cuttack is all set to hold its 12th convocation ceremony on May 26 (Friday).

Governor and Chancellor Ganeshi Lal will preside over the convocation ceremony while retired IAS officer and chief advisor to Chief Minster’s office R. Balakrishnan will grace the occasion as chief guest, said Ravenshaw University Vice Chancellor Sanjay Kumar Nayak.

As many as 69 students will be felicitated with gold medals for their academic performance for the year 2022. Besides, at least 85 scholars will be awarded with PhD degrees at the convocation ceremony, added the Vice Chancellor.

Eminent writer and first Vice Chancellor of Ravenshaw University Debdas Chhotray and noted singer Pranab Kishore Patnaik will be felicitated with D.Litt degrees on the occasion. Educationalist Prabhat Kumar Mishra and SCBMCH Rheumatology and Immunology department professor Bidyut Kumar Das will be awarded with D.Sc degrees, Nayak said.

“The convocation ceremony will be held at the conference room of Seven Pillars of Wisdom on Ravenshaw University premises at 10 am on Friday,” Nayak added.
