Odisha: 7 held with venison, deer hide in Angul

Angul: Forest Department officials today seized venison and deer hide from Satkosia sanctuary in Odisha’s Angul district and arrested seven persons, including three women, in this connection.

The accused, hailing from Kalhosahi, had yesterday hunted a deer at the sanctuary. This morning, they were butchering the animal.

Acting on a tip-off, Forest Department officials reached the spot and apprehended them. Venison weighing 8-10 kg and the hide of the deer were seized from their possession.
