Odisha administers 1 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses

Bhubaneswar: Odisha today crossed a major landmark of administering 1 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses. So far,  1,00,06,067 doses have been given to people in the state, as per the data available on CoWIN portal.

While 63,62,201 people in the state have received first dose and 18,21,933 been fully vaccinated against the virus.  So far, 20,64,833  people in the age group of 18-44 years have received the jab, 33,51,787 in 45-60 age group and 27,65,556  beneficiaries aged above 60 years.

Today,  1,68,153  doses were given to beneficiaries till the last report was filed.

Khordha district has administered highest 13,96,574 doses followed by Ganjam (9,39,285), Cuttack (7,49,665) and Balsore (5,58,096). Vaccination is underway at 1,594 centres across the state–1,558 Government facilities and  36 private hospitals.

Worth mentioning, Odisha Government today began massive vaccination drive to achieve the target of 3 lakh inoculations per day. In a letter, the state Government directed all Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, CDMOs and PHOs to expand the vaccination drive for 18-44 years age group and above 45 years and completely consume available stock (both Centre and state supply) within shortest possible time.
