The students have accused the departmental investigation committee of trying to delay the verdict in the case. They have also alleged that they are being pressurized and threatened to withdraw the complaint over phone by unknown people

Fast losing their faith in the fairness of the departmental probe, the students of the university have now given the university authorities an ultimatum to act before April 30. If the authorities fail to act by the deadline, they have threatened to launch an agitation.

It may be noted that Vice Chancellor Manoranjan Kar had formed a three-member departmental investigation committee after the incident came to the fore on April 8.

The committee was supposed to submit its report by April 20, but is yet complete the investigation. The committee has already questioned the students on April 14 and the accused professor on April 15. They are still questioning some lecturers and students.

While the students have submitted all the evidence they had before the committee, no action has been taken against the professor yet.

Even though the Director of the university Bikash Panda has already spoken to the vice-chancellor on this regard, no decision has been taken yet.
