Odisha: Ailing woman dies as poor road hurdles arrival of ambulance

Malkangiri: In an unfortunate incident, a woman suffering from chest pain died on the way to hospital as ambulance failed to arrive at Kadaguda village under Khairput block of Odisha’s Malkangiri district owing to poor road condition.

According to reports, a woman of the village complained of chest pain following which her family members telephoned 108 ambulance service.

Unfortunately, the ambulance was unable to reach the village due to deteriorated condition of the road. Left with no other option, the kin of the woman carried her on a cot till Lamtaguda village where the ambulance was waiting for them.

She was taken to Khairput community health centre, where doctor declared her brought dead.
