Odisha appoints 5 new IPS officers as SDPO

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today appointed five IPS officers who have recently completely their training.

As per the notification issued by the Home Department, the State government appointed five 2015-batch IPS officers as Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPO).

Padmini Sahoo is posted as SDPO, Berhampur while Sarvana Vivek M is posted as new SDPO, Malkangiri.

Similarly, Kusalkar Nitin Dagdu is appointed as SDPO, Baliguda in Kandhamal and Pratyush Diwakar is posted in the same rank at Jeypore in Koraput. Rahul Jain is appointed as SDPO, Barbil in Keonjhar district.

Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on February 12, had urged the Centre allocation of at least 10 officials on the basis of civil services examination (CSE)-2017 to the State to help meet the manpower requirement at the supervisory level.
