Odisha Assembly passes Appropriation Bill amid uproar; adjourned till tomorrow

The Odisha Assembly was adjourned till tomorrow after the Appropriation Bill was passed amid upraorious scenes this afternoon.

As soon as the House recovened after the adjournment at 3 pm, Opposition members were up on their feet raising slogans and waving banners against the government.

The Appropritaion Bill was passed even as the pandemonium continued.

Four important bills including the Appropriation Bill were introduced in the Odisha Assembly today amidst pandemonium.

Apart from the Appropriation Bill, the Cooperation Amendment Bill, the Indian Stamp Odisha Amendment Bill and Survey and Consolidation Bill were introduced in the House.

The bills were introduced after the House reassembled at 12.15 PM.

However, the Speaker was forced to adjourn the House till 3 PM as the Opposition members created noisy scenes and threw banners at him.
