Odisha bags four SKOCH awards for smart governance

The Odisha government, for the first time, has bagged four awards on SKOCH Digital Inclusion-2013 for smart governance with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) as its knowledge partner.

SK Panda, DDG and SIO and Dr RN Behera, senior technical director of NIC, Odisha State Centre, received the award at a function held in New Delhi recently.

The awards are given every year to the government departments which have used Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools to provide and improve government services, transactions and interactions with citizens and public service delivery.

The awards were received in four different areas for four projects that include e-Nijukti, e-Abhijoga.

The E-Nijukti by the Odisha State Employment Mission online jobs (http://www.empmissionodisha.gov.in ) caters to unemployed youths, imparts skill development training and provide jobs.

The objective of the E-Abhijoga (http://cmgcodisha.gov.in ) is to provide an online grievance redressal and monitoring mechanism across the state which includes the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and the offices of all secretaries and district collectors.
