Odisha BJP continues to gun for Das Burma and Justice MM Das

Odisha unit of BJP today organised a demonstration in front of Balasore Collector’s office seeking ouster of chit fund scam inquiry commission head Justice MM Das and Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare (FS&CW) Minister Sanjay Das Burma.

Besides, issue such as irregularities in distribution of NFSA cards were also taken up during the demonstration.

“Today we submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the collector demanding the resignation of Das Burma and removal of Justice MM Das. Should the Chief Minister not act even after this demonstration, we would not allow ruling party leaders and minister to enter Balasore,” warned Balasore BJP President Madan Mohan Dutta.

“Lakhs of small investors have lost their money because of the chit fund scam. The ruling party is directly involved in this scam and many are already behind the bars. Biju Janata Dal had promised to return the money through a corpus fund. However, the commission they set up opined otherwise. We want him to step down,” said another leader Sashi Kumar Sahu.
