Odisha: Bodybuilder dies in road mishap

Buguda: Bodybuilder and former ‘Ganjam Shri’ Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan died today evening. While on his way back home on a two-wheeler after closing his gym ‘Just Fit’ in Berhampur town at around 8 PM, Jyoti Ranjan met with an accident.

His vehicle hit a roadside concrete pole near Pankajpalli under Buguda police limits and he fell down on the spot.

Some locals initially spotted Jyoti Ranjan and called up an ambulance and took him to the nearby Buguda Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

It is worth to mention that Jyoti Ranjan emerged winner for the 75 kg category of 64th District-level Body Building Competition on March 31.

A pall of gloom descended on the sports lover as soon as the news of Jyoti Ranjan’s death spread like a forest fire.
