Odisha boy breaks into India U-19 squad for Asia Cup

Bhubaneswar: Promising pace bowler from Odisha, Rajesh Mohanty, has been included in the India Under-19 cricket team for the upcoming Asia Cup.

Mohanty, who was playing for Rameswar Sporting Club in Bhubaneswar, had attended under-19 players camp held at NCA, Bengaluru from July 30 to August 24.

Meanwhile, Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Working Committee Chairman Dhiren Pallai congratulated Mohanty on his selection and wished him all the best.

“He (Rajesh) is a talented player and was brilliant in the last couple of years. He was also selected to play Ranji for Odisha,” Pallai said.

The Asia Cup will start in Dhaka from September 29.
