The special CBI court here today rejected the bail plea of three top executives of Nabadiganta Capital Services, one of the 44 chit fund companies being probed by the central agency, and sent them to judicial custody for eight days.

Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD) of Nabadiganta Anjan Kumar Baliarsingh and directors Kartikeya Parida and Pradeep Patnaik, who were arrested by the CBI on October 26, were produced in the court at the end of their six-day remand period.

Sitanshu Dwivedy, counsel for the accused, moved a bail petition on his clients’ behalf, which was rejected by the court.
