Odisha chit fund scam: BJD MLA seeks bail

Former Odisha government chief whip and the BJD MLA from Banki Pravat Kumar Tripathy, whose house was raided last month by the CBI in connection with its probe into the chit fund scam,  moved the  the Odisha High Court today seeking anticipatory bail, apprehending that the Central agency may arrest him anytime..

So far, six persons including three owners of media houses and Ranjan Dash, perceived close to Tripathy, have been arrested by the CBI.

The Central investigation agency had also raided the house of another close associate of Tripathy, Subash Padhy,  in Banki in connection with the case.

    BJD should expel Pravat Tripathy from the primary membership of the party. CBI has got enough evidence against this MLA and I think CBI will arrest him soon.
