Odisha chit fund scam: Mumbai-based model Preeti Bhatia quizzed over her AT links

The CBI team investigating the mega chit fund scam in Odisha today interrogated a Mumbai-based model and television serial co-producer Preeti Bhatia for her alleged links with the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group and its CMD Pradeep Sethy.

Preeti, who was accompanied by her mother, was questioned for over three hours at the CBI office here on her links with the AT Group.

Sources said the CBI had raided Preeti’s home as well as the house of the arrested Mumabi stock broker Deepak C Pareek in Mumbai last month.

Preeti Bhatia and Pradeep Kumar Sethy and Indu Dewan are directors in a company called the Prismheights Films & Entertainment Private Limited having Corporate Identification Number (CIN)U92100MH2010PTC199119, registered with Registrar of Companies, Mumbai. Its registered office is located at 601, Dev Shakti, 46, Tilak Road, Santa Cruz (West), Mumbai.

As per the Ministry of Corporate Affairs website and details provided on Company Master Details, Prismheights Films & Entertainment Private Limited is an active company. During the interrogation of stock broker Deepak C pareek, the CBI has stumbled on the startling revelation that crores of hard earned money duped from gullible investors by the AT group was splurged on rave parties in Mumbai where film and TV stars, including Sunny Leone, ‘entertained’ the top functionaries of the group.

On the lighter side, a rumour that adult film actress Sunny Leone was at the CBI office in Bhubaneswar for interrogation, went viral in the media circles until people found out that it was not Sunny but Preeti Bhatia, who had been summoned.
