Odisha chit fund scam: Kamyab TV Director appears before CBI

Lipi Das, director of Kamyab TV and wife of its owner Manoj Das, appeared before the CBI for interrogation in connection with the Odisha chit fund scam here this afternoon.

She went in at about 3.15 pm and left an hour later. She did not answer questions form the waiting media persons on what she was asked about by CBI officials.

However, she is believed to have been questioned about Kamyab’s financial dealings with the Artha Tatwa (AT) group, a major player in the scam in her capacity as a director.

Her husband, now in jail, had earlier said he had entered into a Rs 90 lakh deal with the AT group chief Pradeep Sethy for hiring of six teleports belonging to his compant, but could not produce the documents to back that claim.
