Odisha cine star Bijay Mohanty to get Lifetime Achievement Award

Bhubaneswar: Veteran cine actor Bijay Mohanty will be conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Odia films.

The award will be presented to Mohanty during Ruchi Odia Filmfare Award (OFA) 2017 on March 4. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000, trophy and certificate.

Besides, the 8th Ruchi OFA will be conferred on eminent artists in 28 different categories jointly to be organised by Group White Canvas and Ruchi at Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar.

Bollywood actress Raveena Tondon, comedian Sunil Pal and Miss Asia Award winner Srishti Rana are scheduled to attend adding more colours to the event.

A special programme will be held seeking financial assistance for 10 children suffering from cancer during the function.

Sitting arrangement has been made at the ground for around 6,000 audiences, said OFA in a press conference here on Tuesday.

Ruchi Director Arabind Sahu, OFA Founder Ullas Behura, OFA Chief Advisor Bapu Lenka and OFA Advisor Manas Ranjan Kar were among others who attended the press conference.
