Odisha: Class 10 student among two crushed to death in separate road mishaps

Jharsuguda/Sambalpur: A Class 10 student was crushed to death after a four-wheeler hit him at Babudera Chhak on national highway-49 in Jharsuguda district today.

The deceased has been identified as Manas Bhoi of Kanaktora village.

The incident took place when Manas was returning from tuition classes and a speeding four-wheeler hit him killing him on the spot. Irate over the incident, locals blocked the NH demanding compensation for the family members of the deceased.

In a separate incident, a man was mowed down while his niece suffered grievous injuries after a speeding truck rammed into the the bike they were travelling on near Baribandh petrol pump under Sadar police limits in Sambalpur district today.

The injured minor girl has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
