Odisha: Classes IX, X syllabus to be reduced by 30% this year
Bhubaneswar: The syllabus for students of classes IX and X will be reduced by 30% this year, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash, today.
“Online classes are currently underway in the state due to the COVID-19 situation. However, it is not possible on the part of each and every student to avail online education. Hence, we have decided to reduce the syllabus,” the minister.
He further added that decision regarding reopening of schools in Odisha was yet to be taken.
Odisha government had last year slashed syllabus for Class 1 to 12 by 30% as the academic session was affected due to the pandemic.
