The Odisha government today approved creation of two new police sub divisions in the state.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today gave his approval for creation of two new police sub divisions of Purushottampur and Dhamnagar in Ganjam and Bhadrak districts respectively.
He also approved the requisite number of posts for these new sub divisions.
While the police stations of Dhamnagar, Bhandaripokhari, Dhusuri, Banta and Agarpada will be brought under Dhamnagar police sub division, the police stations of Kabisuryanagar, Purushottampur, Kodala and Polasara will be brought under Purushottampur police sub division.
