Odisha CM asks Energy deptt to open social media accounts to address queries

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who recently was found exposed to social media, directed the energy department to open Facebook and Twitter accounts to address people’s queries over power distribution.

The order came after Patnaik received complaints from people on his Twitter and Facebook accounts on undeclared power cuts.

Chairing a high level meeting at the state secretariat here yesterday to review the power distribution situation in the state during the scorching summer, he asked the department to address the consumers’ grievances as early as possible.

He advised to open the accounts on the social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook for resolving the complaints received from the consumers. He asked the energy officials to follow his Facebook and Twitter accounts .

Patnaik also advised the police department to take advantage of the social media. The SPs and DIGs were asked to open official Twitter and Facebook accounts at the earliest.
