Odisha CM asks officials to finish job promotion process by Dec 31

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed officials to ensure that the process for promotion of government employees gets completed by December 31 every year. He asked heads of departments, Collectors and other senior official to give promotion by January 1.

Patnaik also expressed displeasure over the delay in promotion of middle and lower rung government staff.

He asked for a transparency in the job promotion for the benefit of staff or officials. Changes in the existing system and bringing in discipline to the process could be quite helpful for government staff.

Cautioning the officials for any delay, Patnaik said modern technology can be used for the promotion, said a statement issued by the chief minister’s office.
