Odisha CM flags off Himalayan expedition team

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today flagged off the second Biju Patnaik Himalayan Expedition at his residence here.

The expedition is being organised by Odisha government’s Sports and Youth Affairs department in association with Tata Steel Adventure Foundation.

The mountaineering team comprising of 12 men and 3 women would climb Mt Rudugaira (19,100 ft) in Uttarakhand during their mission.

Patnaik handed over flags and wished them luck for their expedition.

The 15-member expedition team will be led by legendary mountaineer and first Indian lady to scale Mt Everest Padmashri Bachendri Pal.
