Odisha CM inaugurates development projects worth Rs 1952.89 crore in Ganjam

Kabisuryanagar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated various development projects in Ganjam district.

Accompanied by 5T Secretary VK Pandian, Patnaik visited Kabisuryanagar and launched 825 projects valued at Rs 1952.89 crore and laid foundation stones for development.

He announced to provide Rs 619 crore loan with zero percent interest to 2.24 lakh women of 22,200 Self Help Groups. He handed over RoR to 12,000 beneficiaries in Kabisuryanagar.

Addressing the huge gathering during the programme, Patnaik said, “women SHGs of Ganjam district have been working for development of their localities. I want them to get transformed from SHGs to SMEs.”

“The Ganjam district has set milestone in healthcare and education sectors. So far, 50,000 beneficiaries have been benefited from Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana in Ganjam district for which the state government has spent over Rs 90 crore. Similarly, the high schools in the district have been transformed under 5T initiative. All schools will be transformed in the district by December this year,” the CM said.
