Odisha CM lays stone for Rs 200 cr projects in Mayurbhanj
Adani-KISS Residential School inaugurated at Baripada
Bariapada: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today laid foundation stone for several developmental projects worth Rs 200 crore and inaugurated 50-crore projects for Mayurbhanj district today.
The projects include drinking water facility and construction of roads and bridges at various places in the district.
During his one-day visit to the district, Patnaik also inaugurated Adani-KISS Residential School at Baripada. Initially, the school will have a capacity of 1,500 students, who will get to study in a world class campus with state-of-the-art infrastructure. On the occasion, the CM also announced Rs 5 crore for development of Jagannath temple in Baripada town.
Addressing students at the residential school, the CM said education is the real pathway to empowerment and bring growth. Congratulating KISS Foundation and Adani Foundation for setting up the residential school in the tribal-affiliated district, Patnaik said the institution will ensure quality education to the tribal children in the district. Currently, more than six lakh tribal students are studying in 6,500 schools across the state, Patnaik added.
KIIT and KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta and Adani Group Founder Gautam Adani and Chairperson Dr Priti Adani were present, among others, at the event.
Initially, the school will have a capacity of 1500 students – catering to deprived boys and girls in the tribal district of Mayurbhanj. The students will get to study in a world class campus, with state-of-the-art infrastructure, smart classrooms and indigenously controlled education.
