Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik turns 75; wishes pour in

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik turned 75 today and heart-warming wishes poured in from all quarters for the leader to make his day special.

Though, no celebration will take place on the special occasion in view of COVId-19 pandemic, the leaders across the party lines greeted the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Supremeo on social media for his long and healthy life.

Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wish on Patnaik’s birthday.

The Prime Minister also wished him over telephone on his birthday.

Union Petroleum & Natural Gas; Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan greeted him on Twitter on his birthday.

Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik conveyed his wish through sand sculpture. Creating a sand art displaying image of Naveen Patnaik, he greeted the leader.

Besides, the social media was filled with warm wishes for Patnaik by union ministers Pratap Sarangi, Arjun Munda and Som Parkash, Lok Sabha member Jual Oram, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Jharkhand Cabinet Minister Joba Majhi and entrepreneur Naveen Jindal.

Yesterday, Patnaik had announced that he will not celebrate his birthday this year on account of spread of COVID-19 infection. He urged his well-wishers to help to poor and donate plasma for COVID-19 patients instead of rushing to Naveen Niwas to wish him on his birthday.
