Odisha CM reviews school transformation in Ganjam, attends classes with students

Berhampur: While reviewing the school transformation project in Ganjam district, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today attended classes along with students at one of the transformed government-run schools.

Patnaik sat in benches along with students in the smart classroom at Brundaban Government High School, Hinjilicut in the district and attended the class. He also discussed on study and other facilities at the school with the students.

Also, he visited a modern laboratory and library set up at the school. During his visit to the transformed school, Patnaik was accompanied by 5T Secretary VK Pandian. The students later presented the Chief Minister’s sketch to him.

The State government has been transforming government-run schools under its 5T initiative.

Official sources said a total of 53 schools have been transformed in Ganjam district.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister visited the Tara Tarini Peetha in the district and kickstarted disbursal of smart health card under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana to beneficiaries. As many as 26.67 lakh people in Ganjam district will be benefitted due to the smart health card scheme.

He also laid foundation stone and inaugurated projects worth Rs 2,140 crore in the district.
