Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned 62 posts for Odisha Police’s Special Wing to probe crimes against women and children.
The special wing will consist of 62 posts: 60 police personnel and two for cyber forensic and IT experts.
The 60 police personnel include an IG-rank officer, who will head the special wing, two Additional Superintendent of Police (ASPs), 10 DCP-rank officers, nine Inspectors, 10 Sub-Inspectors, 8 ASIs and 14 constables.
Besides , five ministerial staff posts have been sanctioned.
Earlier, the CM had announced to set up a special wing in Odisha police to probe various crimes against women and children with an aim to provide quality services to them.
