Odisha CM visits Srimandir in Puri on New Year

Puri: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today visited the Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri on the occasion of New Year.

The CM had darshan of Patitapabana from the Singhadwara of the temple. “Best wishes to everyone for a very Happy New Year,” Patnaik said speaking to reporters in front of the temple.

Later, Patnaik paid a visit to the memorial of his father and former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik near Swargadwar in the town.

Worth mentioning, the CM, citing his ill-health, has requested his well-wishers not to throng his residence Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar to greet him on the occasion of New Year. He has decided to stay away from celebrations as his doctors advised him to do so.
