Apart from the Chief Minister’s grievance cell, the state government has instructed the District Collectors and Superintendents of Police to shut their complaint hearing cells from coming Monday till further orders, a release from the CMO said.

However, complaints will be received over phone and e-mail during this period. Complainants can register their grievances by dialing 0674- 2530700 and send their e -mail by logging in to www.cmgcodisha.in.

The telephone number and e-mail IDs of District Collectors and Superintendents of Police will be published in newspapers shortly, the release added.

The state government has appealed to the people not to travel from far off places to get their grievances redressed at the cells presided over by Chief Minister, District Collectors and Superintendents of Police. Instead, they can call or send their grievances through e-mail, it advised.

Notably, the grievance cells meet on Mondays to hear the complaints of the people.

Yesterday, a 12-year-old girl Soli Sahu, a heart patient, who was accompanied her parents Surendra and Kanak Sahu to the Jajpur district collector’s grievance cell fell ill and died.

She had approached the district level grievance cell at Dharmasala seeking funds for her treatment at a Bangalore-based hospital.
