Bhubaneswar: Odisha-cadre IAS Officers Ananya Das and Chanchal Rana are all set to enter into wedlock very soon for second time as the duo got engaged yesterday.
The Sambalpur Collector Ananya Das and Chanchal Rana, who is the Collector of Balangir district, exchanged their engagement rings in presence of their family members and close relatives at her official residence in Sambalpur on Sunday.
According to media reports, the bureaucrat couple will tie the knot within three months.
This will be second wedding for both Ananya Das and Chanchal Rana. Earlier, Ananya had married IAS Officer Abdaal M. Akhtar, who is currently posted as the Collector of Koraput district.
Similarly, Chanchal Rana is an ex-husband of Rayagada Collector Swadha Dev Singh.
The IAS officers duo decided to marry again after spilt from their respective spouses.
Ananya Das, a 2015 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, originally belongs to Assam. After getting married to Odisha-cadre IAS officer Abdaal M. Akhtar, she was allowed to change her cadre. Prior to her appointment as the Sambalpur Collector, she was the Commissioner of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
Balangir Collector Chanchal Rana is the 2014 batch IAS Officer. He is an alumnus of NIT Silchar.
