Odisha Congress leader Mohan Nag passes away

Senior Congress leader of Odisha Mohan Nag passed away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar this morning. He was 89.

mohan nagNag was elected to the State Assembly from Bhatli constituency in Bargarh district four times.

Former chief minister and Assam governor JB Patnaik and several Congress leaders from Odisha have expressed profound grief over the death of Nag.

In his condolence message, senior Congress leader Niranjan Patnaik said Nag had endeared himself to one and all with his simple living and pleasing manners.

“In his death, the state lost a wise leader while the dalits and backward classes lost a lifelong warrior for their cause,” Patnaik.

The former PCC president paid his last respects to the departed leader at the AMRI hospital here this evening.
