Odisha continues to boil under high temperatures

Bhubaneswar: Severe heat wave conditions continued to prevail in most parts of the State as temperature soared above 40 degree Celsius at nine places in Odisha.

With 43.9 degree Celsius, Bolangir became the hottest place in the State, the local Met office said.

The entire western Odisha sizzled under intense heat as Sonepur recorded 43.8 degree Celsius, Jharsugada 43 and Sambalpur 41.9 degree Celsius.

Balasore (35.8 degree Celsius), Chandbali (37.4 degree Celsius), Paradip (31.7 degree Celsius), Angul (40 degree Celsius), Puri (33 degree Celsius), Keonjhar (39 degree Celsius) and Sundargarh (38 degree Celsius), it said.

Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 36 and 35 degree Celsius respectively.
