Bhubaneswar: In a bid to create awareness to stay away from the macabre Blue Whale game, the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Commissionerate of Police will hold a special meeting in Odisha capital on Friday.

Official sources said the Twin City Police Commissioner Y.B. Khurania will address the awareness meeting scheduled to be held at Police Commissionerate office here at 11 am.

All principals and Vice Chancellors of colleges and universities in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar were asked to be present in the meeting.

The meeting assumes significance as students are the most vulnerable to the killer online game, which gives 50-day self harming tasks to perform. Ultimately on day 50, the game supervisor demands players to take their own lives.

So far, the State witnessed around 10 Blue Whale game related incidents making the Police and IT Departments to issue advisory on the notorious game.

Earlier in the week, the city cops had rescued an engineering student, identified as Swadhin Rout (27), in Old Town are here from the Blue Whale trap.

Similarly, another engineering student was also saved from the killer online game at CDA area in Cuttack on September 5.
