Odisha cops most burned out in India: Survey

Bhubaneswar: Police personnel of Odisha undergo the highest average working hours in a day in the country, a study revealed.

As per the Status of Policing in India Report-2019 published by the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), Odisha reported the highest average working hours of 18 hours in a day for cops of the State Police.

On the other hand, Nagaland reported the lowest average of eight working hours in a day.

The survey further said that 90 percent of police personnel in Odisha were not getting any weekly off.
