It may be mentioned that the Narayanpatna police, during the anti-Maoist operation, had seized a huge cache of arms and explosives from Kanchanpadu village on May 15, 2011 and registered cases against 35 persons, including Nachika on treason charges and the Arms Act.

Terming the cases registered against the accused as baseless, Nachika’s counsel Manoranjan Routray had moved the court.

After hearing the petition of the counsel, ADJ Pradip Kumar Mohanta acquitted Nachika of the charges.
