Bhubaneswar: A total of 1539 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 1276114 with 13285 active cases.
Out of the 1539 cases, 342 are children below 18 years of age.
Khurda district registered highest 223 fresh infections, followed by Sundargarh (124) and Angul (119).

As many as 24 more persons, including a 21-day-old baby, have died of COVID-19 in Odisha, the Health Department informed.
The baby boy of Bhadrak district was also suffering from prematurity and low birth weight, the department said.
With this, the COVID-19 toll in the state rose to 8862.
