Odisha: COVID patients at AHRCC threaten to infect staffers

Cuttack: Several COVID-19 patients at the Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre (AHRCC) in Odisha’s Cuttack city allegedly threatened the hospital staffers and COVID warriors to infect them with the virus by touching them.

The bizarre incident took place last night when the patients were being shifted to COVID hospital after they tested positive for the virus. The patients allegedly refused to go to the COVID hospital and threatened the AHRCC staffers and COVID warriors engaged in shifting them to the hospital to touch them.

On being informed, Mangalabagh police reached the spot and pacified the patients. Following the intervention by the cops, the patients later agreed to go to the COVID hospital.

Worth mentioning, as many as 113 persons at the AHRCC have tested positive for COVID-19 with 38 fresh cases being reported last night.
