Odisha: COVID-positive man misbehaves with Tehsildar over shifting to hosp

Puri: A COVID-positive person of Kahalapada village under Brahmagiri police limits in Odisha’s Puri district allegedly misbehaved with the local Tehsildar Kishore Chandra Panda last night over the administration’s decision of shifting the former and his family members to a COVID hospital.

According to reports, the Tehsildar and a team had gone to the village yesterday for shifting eight members of a family, who tested positive for the virus, to a COVID hospital. However, they argued with the official and refused to go to the hospital. They also claimed that the reports of their COVID-19 test were false.

The official has lodged a complaint against them with Brahmagiri police over violation of the government’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Worth mentioning, a member of the family had died of the disease a week ago while others tested positive for COVID-19.
