Odisha cricketer in Indian women’s squad for ODI series against Australia

Bhubaneswar: Odisha cricketer Sukanya Parida was included in Indian women’s squad announced by the BCCI’s women’s selection committee for the One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia.

The 24-year-old rookie pacer Sukanya has returned the team led by Mithali Raj replacing Jhulan Goswami, who is suffering a heel injury after South Africa ODIs, to play the three-match ODI series against Australia, commencing on March 12 in Vadodara.

Sukanya, who is residing in Kolkata, had played for India last time in November 2016.

The Indian women’s cricket team that beat South African team in the recently concluded ODI and T20I series to register a double series win is scheduled to face Australia at its home ground on March 12, March 15 and the final will be held on March 18.
