Odisha: Cuttack Half Marathon Promo Run sees 150 + participants
The run, organized by Cuttack Runners and The Tamasha Project in association with SSU, turned out to be a huge success with runners across all ages ranging from 12 years to 65 years participating.
Cuttack: Braving the winter morning chill, more than 150 persons participated in the promo run of the Cuttack Marathon as they made their way to the Sri Sri University at Naraj here today. The run, organized by Cuttack Runners and The Tamasha Project in association with SSU, turned out to be a huge success with runners across all ages ranging from 12 years to 65 years participating.
Apart from a warmup run conducted within the campus, many fun events including plank hold contest, push up contests and sprint events were organised.
Participants said the run was challenging but rewarding thanks to the lush green campus of SSU which is also the venue partner for the Cuttack Marathon to be held next month.
The organisers shared that the event gave runners an idea about preparing for the run and the kind of warm ups needed along with other necessary aspects that the participants need to keep in mind before gearing up for such marathons.
The guidance was shared by experts in that particular field thus giving participants proper professional insight and support. Later on, the participants were briefed about the upcoming mega event which is going to be the first of its kind mega event to be held in the Silvery City of Cuttack.
The event was also supported by Red Bull.
