Odisha: Drunk man falls into hot curry-filled utensil, admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In an unfortunate incident, a drunk man fell into an utensil containing hot curry at Haripur village under Tangi police limits on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Pratap Mahapatra, was initially rushed to the Tangi Community Health Centre and later shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar as his condition deteriorated.

According to reports, Pratap had gone to a social event in the locality, where a feast was being organized. While his uncle was supervising the cooking, Pratap, being in an inebriated state due to liquor consumption, started inspecting the food items.

While doing so, he fell into the utensil and sustained critical burn injuries.

The locals rescued him and admitted him to the hospital.
