Odisha DSO demands waiver of fees for revaluation of +2 papers

Bhubaneswar, June 3:

Members of the All India Democratic Students’ Organization (AIDSO) today staged a demonstration in front of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha office here demanding the waiver of fees for re-evaluation and photocopy of answer sheets from the students.

They also demanded stringent action against the erring officials responsible for the faulty evaluation of answer sheets.

“Why should students be made to suffer for the mistakes of the government? The common man should not be made to pay through their nose. The authorities should waive the fees immediately,” said AIDSO Bhubaneswar chief Nasim Sarkar.

Meanwhile, the Odisha unit of BJP Yuva Morcha has announced that it will gherao the CHSE office here and its three regional offices in Berhampur, Sambalpur and Baripada tomorrow to protest against what it called the ‘irresponsible attitude’ of the government.

Condemning the failure of the Higher Education department to ensure proper evaluation, Yuva Morcha president Umakant Patnaik demanded immediate waiver of the fee being collected for re-checking and issuing photocopies of examination papers.
