Odisha Factories & Boilers Director arrested in bribery case

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance officials today arrested Satyanarayana Sethi, Director in-charge of Factories & Boilers, Government of Odisha, for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe.

According to reports, the official had demanded Rs 50,000 from one Susanta Kumar Bihari for issuing factory licence for an ongoing project of Penna Cement Industries Limited.

Acting on a complaint lodged by Bihari, Vigilance sleuths laid a trap and caught Sethi red-handed while he was accepting the amount from the complainant.

The Vigilance officials later raided the official residence of the accused.
